Day 1-CAIRO: Tuesday
Our staff meets you at the airport and escorts you to your Hotel.
Tour starts in Cairo, weekly . Complimentary visa is issued
upon arrival at Cairo Airport, valid only for American &
Japanese citizens, passports must be valid for at least 6 month at
the time of arrival.
You may cruise the Nile in the comfort of your own
Private Vessel, at no additional charge, minimum 4 guests required
Day 2 -LUXOR: (BLD) Wed
An early morning American or Buffet breakfast then it is off
to Luxor, and your Nile Cruise, in the afternoon , you
visit the gigantic Temple of Amon at Karnak, the pharaohs’ tombs in
the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir
El Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. You continue to Esna
to go through its locks.
Day 3 - EDFU/KOM OMBO: (BLD) Thu
At dockside, you board horse-drawn carriages for the short clip-clop ride
throughout the town of Edfu to the stupendous Temple Horus, the best
preserved temple on the Nile. Returning to your ship, you set sail
for Kom Ombo and its famous twin temple dedicated to the sun and
the crocodile god.
Day 4 - ASWAN / PHILAE: (BLD) Fri
We explore the Temple of Horus and Sobek at Kom Ombo, haggle with
the peddlers for souvenirs, then re - board your ship for the voyage
south to Aswan. In the afternoon, you take a motor launch to the
Temples Island of Philae, rescued from the rising waters behind
the High Dam.
Day 5 CAMEL CARAVAN / CAIRO - (B) Sat
Complimentary Morning camel ride in a small Caravan to enjoy tea with
the locals in a nearby Nubian Village. Return by plane to Cairo
, our staff meets you at the airport & escort you to your hotel.
Day 6 -CAIRO: (aBL) Sun
In Cairo enjoy American or buffet breakfast at your hotel .Today you get
to know the great Egyptian capital on a full day tour. You start
at the Egyptian Museum, including the Mummy room & Tutankhamon
treasures, then go on to Saladin’s Citadel with its alabaster mosque.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we explore Old Cairo, the Jewish
Synagogue, the Coptic Churches of Abu Serghius and Al Molaka and
the Coptic Museum. We conclude with the 12 century district of
Khan El-Khalili Bazaar.
Day 7 - GIZA : (aBLD) Mon
We drive to Giza for a visit to the Sphinx and a tour of the great pyramids.
After lunch we tour the ruins of Memphis, the Step Pyramid of Sakkara
and the "bent" Pyramid of Dahshour. Evening dinner
with folk show.
Day 8 -CAIRO: (aB) Tue
After breakfast, our staff escorts you to the airport for your flight
home.
