Day 1 Saturday Friday CATANIA (ACIREALE)
Independent arrival at the hotel in Acireale. In the
afternoon details of the tour is informed by tour escort. Dinner
and overnight at hotel.
Day
2 Saturday PIAZZA ARMERINA-CEFALU'
in hotel. Depart for Piazza Armerina, in the heart of
Sicily to visit Roman Villa of Casale, famous for its fantastic
mosaics. Lunch at local restaurant then continue to Cefalù
to visit the Norman Dome, rich of Byzantine mosaics. The tour proceeds
to Palermo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

3 Sunday PALERMO-MONREALE
After breakfast, visit of the Capital of Sicily, one
of the richest town in Sicily for history and art. Visit the Cathedral,
Norman Palace with its Palatin Chapel, the Four Corners, the Opera
House, the Pretoria Square. Continue to Monreale to admire the Cathedral
with its splendid 12th century mosaics, and the cloister of the
Benedictine monastery with Moorish architecture. In the afternoon
optional excursion to Santa Rosalia Sanctuary on Monte Pellegrino
and Mondello, the favourite beach of Palermo people for a walk or
a nice swim. Dinner and Overnight.

4 Monday SELINUNTE-ERICE-AGRIGENTO
After breakfast, all day long dedicated to the visit
of the beautiful area of Trapani, with its vineyards famous all
over the world. Visit the fascinating Erice, a small medieval village
with ancient Greek origin, situated on a little hill, where it is
possible to enjoy a fantastic view on the Egadi Islands and have
a nice taste of its typical almonds biscuits. In the afternoon continue
with the visit of the archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest
in the Mediterranean area. In the late afternoon reach Agrigento.
Dinner and overnight.

5 Tuesday AGRIGENTO-CALTAGIRONE-ACIREALE
After breakfast, visit of the wonderful Valley of Temples
with the Concordia Temple, Heracules Temple, Giunone Temple and
Castore and Polluce Temples represent the most beautiful example
of the Greek Civilization in Sicily. Continue to Caltagirone, known
for the production of ceramic, where it is possible to buy a lot
of beautiful handmade products. Proceed to visit a ceramic laboratory
to discover the secrets of this ancient activity from its birth
to nowadays. Lunch in a typical farmhouse to taste some of Sicilian
specialties. Go on to the east coast of Sicily. Dinner and Overnight.

6 Wednesday SYRACUSE-CATANIA (ACIREALE)
After breakfast, excursion to Syracuse, the most beautiful
ex Greek colony of Sicily Go on to visit the famous Aretusa Fountain
and the archaeological area with its marvelous theatre and the Dyonisios
"Ear". After lunch in Ortigia, the small baroque island, old city
center of Syracuse, the tour continues to Catania, the town well
known for its original baroque style and for its streets built with
black lava stone from Mt. Etna. Walking tour through Via Etnea,
the Baroque street "Via Crociferi", the Piazza Duomo with the Cathedral
and the Liotru statue, symbol of the city. The Roman Amphitheater,
the Opera House, the University and the noble Palace of Biscari.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 Thursday ETNA-TAORMINA
After breakfast, a fantastic excursion to Mt. Etna, the
highest active volcano in Europe. Across fascinating landscape,
the tour reach a height of 2000 meters, where enjoy a fantastic
panorama of the Ionic Sea. In the afternoon enjoy time at leisure
in Taormina, the small medieval village called the pearl of the
Ionic Sea, famous for its typical small streets and its fascinating
Greek theatre. In the late afternoon return to the hotel. Dinner
and overnight.
Day 8 Friday CATANIA (ACIREALE)
After breakfast, end of the tour.
