DAY 1 - CAIRO

Our staff meets you at the airport and escorts you to your hotel. Egyptian  visa is included &  issued upon arrival for American , Canadian, EU, NZ & Japanese citizens, passports must be valid for at least 6 month at time of arrival.

 

 

 

DAY 2 - CAIRO - FAMILY HOME HOSTED DINNER (BLD)

For those interested ( you may start very early in the morning around 7 AM with a brief tour of the Camel market in Imbaba , with scenes out of Indiana Jones movie set.
Otherwise we start around 8 :30 AM with the best of Cairo: the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and its Alabaster Mosque. After lunch at  a local  Restaurant, we walk the narrow streets of Old Cairo, once a Roman fort, later the Jewish Quarter, then the Coptic Christian Quarter. We visit the Coptic churches of Abu Serghius and Al Molaka, the Coptic Museum, and Ben Ezra synagogue. Finally, we wander through the alleys of Khan el-Khalili bazaar in search of souvenirs.

This evening we'll venture where few ordinary visitors ever tread . . . right into the homes of some of the people of Cairo l! You'll be invited to a family dinner, and while you enjoy wholesome home-cooked specialties, you'll learn about and appreciate the outlook, aspirations, and way of life of your hosts. Be assured, as curious as you may be about your new friends, they're sure to have questions about your own background. Once the ice is broken, you'll enjoy a lively evening, and find that you have more in common than you ever suspected. Of course, you may enjoy dinner in a quiet restaurant with your travel companions, by letting us know your preferences.

 

 

 

 

 

DAY 3 - CAIRO (BLD)

In the morning, we visit the majestic pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and the timeless Sphinx. After lunch we drive to Dahshour, the newly-opened pyramid field south of Cairo. We visit several ancient structures, including the great pyramid built by Senfru, father of Cheops. In the evening, we board our first-class sleeper train. Dinner is served in our private compartments as we speed southward along the banks of the Nile.

 

 

 

 

DAY 4 - LUXOR (BLD)

We leave our train for breakfast in a hotel, after which we cross the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings , El Deir El Bahari Temple, Colossi of Memnon , Valley of the Queens & the newly opened Nefertari Tomb ( Not Guaranteed , as the number allowed is limited )

After lunch ,we tour the Great Temple of Amon at Karnak, and visit the Sacred Lake, then off to the Luxor temple and the small yet charming Luxor Museum. Evening Sound & Light show at Karnak Temple

 

 

DAY 5 - CAIRO (abD)

Morning at leisure. Early afternoon we head for the airport for our flight back to Cairo, and our hotel. Dinner & belly dance folk  show.

 

 

DAY 6 - CAIRO (bLD)
Today we start early in the day with a visit one of the local vegetable markets, for guests who don't enjoy chaotic festive ambiance, this may not be suitable for them.
Then on to Ibn Tulun Mosque and Gayer-Anderson House, a pair of traditional Arab houses built in 1540 and 1630. After lunch at a charming local restaurant , we visit Bab an-Nasr, a great gate in the old city walls, subject to the availability of the guards, will do our best to allow you to enter the Cairo Wall enclosure, and maybe get to see the graffiti's scribbled by the French soldiers from Napoleon's expedition in the late 1700's , then the British soldiers adding their own comments as they pushed the French out of Egypt .
In the evening, we board a dinner cruise with a folk & belly dance show.

 

 

DAY 7 - DEPARTURE (aB)

After breakfast, our staff escorts you to the airport for your flight home. Bon Voyage
